Aftermarket shocks.
« on: June 30, 2011, 05:44:35 pm »
Part way through a 1987 CR 250 resto, and the rear shock is shagged, been run with no oil for about the last ten years. Rebuild price is in the $1000 vicinity.
So question is, has anyone had experience with aftermarket shocks for these beasts? Over to the suspension guru's.

If I had an '87 CR250 with a buggered shock , I would be looking seriously at this :

I dont know if the 250 and 500 have a different shock, but you would have to think that they would be the same.

Thanks guys,
I had a look on your web site Walter, but couldn't see any, do you have a part number for them?

the WP above has been reauctioned a few times for some reason but it seems like a good deal.
I have an ex team honda 87 body canister style that looks  hardly used . Its not stock ,looks a bit different, has some hand stampings on it and a coating on the inner bore.If you want to got with a rebuild ,$145 plus postage
