Operator tricks to the AtK 2000 cams
« on: February 15, 2008, 12:01:54 pm »
I just scored a new in box ATK helmet cam for $90, been looking for a while and finally pulled one, anyway as you do i spent all yesterday running around the house trying to see what it can do / what it needs to perform best.  I found it worked in every light, but hates back lighting, so i assume its all electronic as far as fixed focus and appatures and you need to use its best focal length/lighting to get you subject in the clearest best output

Are they any techniques or things you guys that have them found, things that you have noticed that makes them perform better ?

LIke bright days - over cast, wear high on helmet - low on bike, Keep subject at  certain distances like say 3m for best focus, etc etc.

I guess its trial and error, but id like to hone in on what works best early and fine tune form there.

Great little things though  ;D
