Not 100% sure yet as I have picked up a basket case so have to go through it all. Just after a list of places/suppliers at this stage with specifics in a week or two. The main thing I was chasing was a 78 tank, I have found one, NOS (600 euro), or used (200 euro) so pricey but seem to be very hard to find compared with all other 70's KTM's tanks.

If it's MX you can buy a Clarke tank for 300 USD

I had looked at the clarke tanks but was under the impression that these were for 76/77, were slightly smaller, different shape and fitted to the frame differently??? The fiberglass one I can get does need painting, I do have tank decals though.

77, 78 are the same but I can check if you like, Clarke tank will not fit GS or high breather frame , only MC frame and comes in red.

The 78 MC didn't use the strap like the 77 and yes it dose mount differently but you can use the Clarke tank and make your own mounts. It fits onto the frame but Ill check.

I just went with the used fiberglass one, it was only $80 more delivered, I will just get it re-painted. Thanks for you help though.
