Retro MX Series Round 2 Clarence entries now open.
« on: April 11, 2011, 12:43:13 pm »
Round 2 of the first Pre'90 race series in NSW will launch at the Happy Valley Springs motocross complex, better known as Clarence on May 22.

After a great start to the year on the Grass Track at Dargle, this round will give our riders their first taste of Pre '90 racing on a permanent motocross circuit.

Once again we will be guests of Baulkham Hills JMTC and their hugely popular DirtX Series.

Only 2 weeks to go fella's

Get your entries in, don't miss the opportunity to ride Clarence (only 1 hour from Castle Hill).

Apparently the track will be groomed prior to the Retro MX raceday, 40 gates and 5 to 6 rounds of racing.

Seniors will have the main mx track and juniors will use junior track which means reduced progarm per track and more racing ;D ;D ;D

What club do I need to be a member of? What other classes can I ride with a modern bike as well as pre 90, if so what additional cost is there?
Cheers Neil

Neil, Baulkham Hill Junior club. Shaun (2seven)  is the man to talk to, but the retromx and retrodirtbike sites will give you a lot more info.
The good thing about telling the truth is that you don't have to remember what you said.

G'day Neil

We are invited to selected rounds of Baulkham Hills junior club's DirtX Series. As such they offer us a discounted membership of $25 to do these rounds.

Riding modern bikes in addition to the Retro class is dependant on available space at each venue. Dargle for instance was only licenced for a grid of 30. The O/30's class is provided for the parents of junior riders at the club and also ex junior riders of the club. Therefore only a couple of our guy's got a ride in the O/30's at Dargle because their kids were also competing. I imagine Clarence will be a different matter as it has a larger grid capacity. Basically it will depend on how many parents wish to ride. I think the club charges an extra $15 to ride the additional class. But even without riding a second class you are treated to 5 Rounds of racing! Awesome bang for your buck I reckon  ;D

You can enter online at http://www.retromx.com.au/online_entry.html and if you want to be included in the modern class as well let me know by email [email protected]

Hope we see you there.

Cheers
Shaun
