Why is it that Paypal's US to AU exchange rate is ALWAYS 3 cents different to what is current? today is $1.09 but paypal is $1.06

no different to any of the banks, you never get the rate, it is allways 3-4 cents less and then 3-4 cents more when you change back the other way. Thats how they make their money.

Pay pal actually charge 2.5% to exchange currency.
This is on top of the 2.9% fee they charge the seller, for their services.

Sometimes it takes them a little longer to correct the rate.

Just like the Oil companies that are affected by the fluctuating dollar, they drag the chain when it suits them to gouge us a little deeper.

On matters regarding money; how come the interest rate for a personal loan is currently sitting somewhere around the mid 14 % mark and our money sitting in our bank account is only worth about a third of that interest rate. Thieving, greedy %$#@ capatilists.

You don't have to use PAYPALS exchange rate . Whenyou go to pay there s an option to use PAYPAL'S or your banks credit card exchange rate . The card rate is also less than the qouted exchange rate but way better than PAYPAL's.

If your Paypal is hooked up through your credit card rather than direct debit, you will pay twice.  once through the paypal exchange rate then again through your credit card exchange rate.
