Na Chris what I mean is for you to put your
own marks on the flywheel and c/case.
Just turn your motor to 2.3mm btdc and make your own marks.
Put one on the case near the flywheel and one on the outside of flywheel.{ Both lined up of course} Use white paint.
Then spin her with the timing light hooked up.
You should then see where it is firing. It will probably be well out .
Now move the backing plate around until the marks line up and you should be close.
Then get someone else to kick it, I did
Later on you can mark the stator at the little pointy thing in the hole.
Someone has been at mine, sanded the original off, and put the new mark in the wrong place.
Ps. The 400 got me 3 times last week and I can nearly walk again now.
