Set I just got are 270mm but seem 50mm to short, my guess should be about 325mm, which would equate to secondary stiffner spring difference but thought these units were single spring unit, thats what i was hoping on but if you could check ohlins manual for sure, that would be great
Thanks Ross

Rossco

Just measured three sets in the shed

They range between 325mm 83 XC 250 and 345mm 83 CR 250 , spares are about 340mm +-.

We usually put a 33mm alum. spacer on top of spring to pre-load and it works well , come over and have a look next time at a meeting .

yes your right. my ohlins parts book lists 330mm springs. i do know ohlins have changed their springs over the yrs as you could get 70mm long springs but now the shortest is 60mm. you may have to use a 270mm spring plus a 60mm spring if the 330's are not available.
contact  www.husqvara-parts.com and Phillip should be able to help you. he has been very helpful to me with any Ohlins issues.

Thanks Shoey & LWC, springs ordered new YSS and only came in charcoal grey so took em straight to the powder coaters without measuring so id be ready for first round, got em back and went to fit tonite and 50-60mm to short, now im fuc-ed (always learning), didnt want to use short springs as specifically waited 3 months for the right rating to carry my big arse around :(

Hi Ross , what you have is the YSS Springs to build the YSS Huski shocks . I have already sent some sleeves to Fernando to make up the difference, so they can fit on Oehlins shocks too ;) .

Rossco

I was about to say .

30mm spacer top and 30mm spacer bottom .If the spring rate is correct all will be OK.

Our Springs are 275 mm free lenght  and the Oehlins is 320 . So if you make the spacer 40-42 mm , you should be fine. If black is not OK , I am sorry , but thats our color . But you have to understand Ross , we make the springs to suit our shocks and if we can help you out, we are happy to do so .Regards Walter

Rossco, Steve Cramer has the Ohlins springs for your husky ITC shocks. I've bought a couple of sets from him before.
