Suzuki thread size?

What is thread size on top triple clamp bolts(14mm) for 79/80 RM's (same as other RM's,PE's etc) anyone know??

Kiwi, I take it you have given us the spanner size ;)    thread should be a 10mm x 1.25 pitch  :)

Cheers Oldfart, thats what i was thinking. Guy at bolt shop says it's a whitworth thread,thought that abit wierd. Tried 3 other bolts in clamp to check ..all standard.Back to shop tomorrow.

Sounds like that guy is in the wrong job, Witworth ::)

The guy at the bolt shop might be the one thats weird but keep in mind that someone might have put Whitworth bolts into your bike.
Odd bolts in bikes isn't that weird
I have even come across Whitworth bolts in moderns as well >:(

Your triple clamp will be in one hell of a mess if that is the case so i hope not.

Oldfart's correct, M10 x 1.25 (metric fine). Fine threads equal higher tightening torques. Don't forget some anti-sieze compound on these aluminium components to protect threads and stop possible pick-ups and consequent stripping.
