New oldie to vmx
« on: June 30, 2011, 05:47:34 pm »
Like alot of us here I'm returning to mx bikes after many years away.I have a YZ125G that is almost complete after a couple of years of work and a YZ250H that I bought so I could ride something cause it was taking so long to get the 125 up and running! Both are rapidly draining the bank account, no-one warned me that once you start its an addiction and you can't stop!I had a 125G brand new in 1980-$1200 from Gaythorne Yamaha in Brisbane -this one has cost a bit more than that.Anyway I'm glad to be on board and hope to share and soak up the wealth of info available here.

Hi Mick
They told me about $5000 to do an oldie up.
Trouble is that you keep buying others to get the bits then they are too good to rat so you have to do them up as well. ;D
