Auto clutches

Hey Guys,
The AU mates seem the most Rabid of the Vintage era advocates.  Certainly does get lots of print and yes I do understand why.  Question is would a Vintage rider be able to use an Auto-clutch system?  I know that handicapped people might be given a "pass" on running one, and as we get older sometimes some of that good clutch control might slip away (pun intended) with loss of grip strength or endurance.  So could a rider use one of the newer systems and ride in Vintage?  There really isn't a lot of performance advantage over a well used clutch, the ability to drop the bike and not stall it or stop in a crash or against another bike etc. and the engine continue to run so the rider isn't forced to restart a stalled engine.
Just a curiosity question.  Yes, I have considered it for my Retro Honda XL350/486cc bike, but I don't actually race Vintage classes.

Hmmmmm. To "my" way of thinking, no - not EVER.

NOT ERA SPECIFIC
Destined to a life behind bars. A garage full of KTM's and a 73 CR 250M Honda....H7 250 Monty will be at Harrow!
A "never was" of the Nineties...

If you used one with a lever over-ride, it would be very hard for anyone to know.

Not in the spirit of the era though - unless you adapted a centrifugal clutch from a Honda Z50 or something.
The good thing about telling the truth is that you don't have to remember what you said.
