Sorry about the size, I uploaded them big but it looks like OZVMX restricts how big they can be and resizes them automatically.

Interesting article sounds like same sort of injury and bike problems 30 years later all I can say is you have aged well popeye!
Funny how they thought the lightwieght 2 strokes would never be competitive although history has come full circle with the return of the 4 strokes.

I just got a Ranger with a çommon-rail'diesel, just got to work out how to fit that in the Wasp-shit it goes!!
I met Doug when there in '87 and was surprised to see how elderly he looked, I was quite shocked at how such a slite guy could lead GPs. Loverly fellow though and very generous with info about outfits and he is still good friends with Norm Gale who now lives in Vic.
Norm was about the same pace as us and we became good mates when we raced in France. He moved out here some years ago when his daughter married an Aussie and came with us to Warrnambool in'09.

Hansi has an oversized heart like Phar Lap though and wouldn't blow out a candle after the toughest race-that always phsyced alot of opposition out. He still takes 70 k pushy rides on sunday and shit like that now.
