My latest montesa
« on: February 15, 2011, 09:55:22 am »
Hi all seen as its been quiet on the montesa front i thought i would let you know of my latest acquisition a montesa enduro 250 H6 year?.I have just picked this up off a guy from Ireland who came over to the UK to a show and brought the bike with him.The bike itself needs work doing to it ie new piston, little end,big end bearings etc etc but comes with spare engine in bits(almost complete)spare seat, frame, forks, new rear mudguard and new exhaust all for £520 GBP bargain i thought. The year i am not sure of as the engine and frame number is 54M08022 and the bike has an up and over exhaust and leading axle forks, red tank with a VB type seat, this will go alongside(when back together and running)my 125 H6 and 360 H6 enduro's what i will do with them then as yet i do not know although i have had someone say why buy them if you do not use them(i am sure others have had a similar question asked of them)my answer was well if i did not buy them then they would have been scraped or broke for parts resulting in total loss of bikes(this applies to some of my cappras as well).Enduro bikes are not really my thing but i hate to see monty's scraped (think i will go and take a few more tablets for this affliction).Went to a classic off road bike show on Saturday to look round and collect above bike and not one montesa cappra on show  :( but the price of some bikes are very high 1978-1981 Maicos £6000 to £8000 GBP although built from mainly new parts,1979 Honda red rockets 125and 250cc fairly well used £3500-£4000 GBP,1975-1977 bultaco's 250c well used £2500-£3000 GBP all scramble bikes.
