It is with deep sorrow and regret, that we have to announce that Gary Moore passed away while on holiday in Spain last night.
Our thoughts are with his children, family and friends at this sad time.
Gary Moore, RIP

Ironically I was playing one of his CD's in the car on Saturday night. While it played I wondered out aloud what Gary was up to these days to the other people in the car. Now we know.
He was one hell of a guitarist. RIP.

thats a real loss.
one of Gary's sayings was that,
"there's more being written about music then there is music being written"
that can be aplied to so many differing aspects of life.
a true inspiration

And I’ve still got the Blues for him too.
I was looking for his album a few weeks back but couldn’t find it, lost in a sea of old cardboard boxes.
Haven’t heard much of him commercially for a while now, but then I have never looked hard

That is a shame. I always preferred his earlier hard rock stuff to the later blues he became well known for.
Here he is with another departed legend:

I was just playing a couple of his albums on saturday.
Seems like I was not the only one hey Firko -
He was my guitar hero and one of the reasons I picked an learned to play.
RIP Gazza

My favourite Gary Moore vid - Freddie Kings "The Stumble". Totally shreds this blues classic

Sad Day, 50`s,60`s,70`, was the era for brilliant rock bands and true talent, todays music is piss water. I am proud to have the pleasure of seeing these bands and being born in that era, thanks mum and dad.

Dave,
Me and I am sure a lot of other people on here go to modern music concerts and festivals and have a great time. The music is not piss water its just that you don't understand it.There are more different types of music now,not just rock and roll.
How long since you' ve seen a modern live band?
