sounds quite logical Stew..let me know how she fairs  :)

I reckon some of my bikes make 96db in engine noise and my chain tensioner roller runs at about 85db so I may have to wrap the whole bloody bike in asbestos matting  :P  errr..whatever they use now that's not asbestos  ;)

I know copper is illegal on car exhausts because it reacts with the fumes and produces a toxic gas

So if it works you might want to use a different material like hydraulic tube,what diameter are you using?

Just thought I would let you know especially if you run it or tune it in a shed

Thanks for the reminder .... it was just an experiment to see what could be done on the cheap,
Tuning up is done out side ( always ) as it sets off smoke detectors  ;D ;D
