Just wait for the plague of politicians flying in for the election year photo-ops  >:(

Haven't heard from any of the relatives down there yet but luckily they don't live or work in the city centre. Fingers crossed that they're all ok

I just got off the internet from talking to friends and rellys in Christchurch and they reckon this one shook harder than the last despite being lesser on the Richter scale. Luckily their homes survived with only slight damage but one mate lost his 3 week old car when a shop awning collapsed onto it. My thoughts go to out South Island comrades in this time of crisis.

65 dead so far, this is the biggest disaster in NZ in living memory, certainly since the 1930s.

Still Aussie have sent in their people and NZders are a pretty tough breed.

Hey Darell hang in there fella,I guess the hangover from Bairdy's wedding is well and truly over now.

PS all my family ok,but if any of you Ockers have visited Christchurch before, the next trip will reveal a very different landscape.

Firko, I am in town next week staying at Evil Rudys next Tuesday night, are you free Wednesday morning?,post the single malt hangover.

Very sad to hear what has happened to our brothers across the ditch.
As much as we rib each other about anything and everything, this is pretty much like it's happened to us.
We all hope that the human toll is kept as low as possible.
Best of luck & wishes to you all.

1.2km wide Glacer.30 million tonnes of ice carving off the glacier at Aoraki Mt Cook.
With some bits 250 metres long now floating around the Lake.
Best is in the West !!

As much as I'm loathed to admit it, I was hoping you'd give it to us at the Cricket world cup.
Sorry guy's, you've got more important things on your mind.
Hope you're all okay.
