With over 200 stores now operating on the Australian eastern seaboard, there's bound to be an ALDI store near you. To find your nearest store and its operating times, simply enter your details below.
Does this include NZud and Tassie  ;D

These Aldi spanner sets are pretty good value as well. They're quality forged, not el cheapo cast shit.
Ditto the allen keys, tap and die set and files.....they're not the best quality you'll ever find but they're still pretty damn good. I bought all of these items when they've been on sale in the past and I've had zero breakages or failures.

Seems Aldi might make a few extra bucks from this. Their service is crap though.
I tried the local bearing shops in Nth Brissy and was unable to get the sizes I wanted.

LWC82PE, who stocks the "Viton" O rings?

O-rings are available in many different types of material, its just that the normal everyday type ones are NBR and is usually all that is sold by a lot of places, however, if you go to any bearing or seal type places, you just have to ask for the material and hardness you want. There are also thousands of online o-ring suppliers online. http://www.transeals.com.au/ is a good site i like to use to look up sizes. Remember that there are many, many different standards of o-rings in metric and imperial with many different cross sections. There is not just 'imperial' and 'metric'. O-ring sizes are quoted in IDxcross section but someplaces will specifiy an OD aswell. A lot of those cheap bulk kits will list OD x CS too but the normal standard is IDxCS. There would be plenty of places in Australia you could get Viton o-rings from but when ever i have had to source any i have got them from overseas suppliers. http://www.metric-seals.com/ is a good one as they dont have minimum quantities and deal with small orders. A few local places i can think of that have o-rings are

Just grabbed an Aldi tap & die set - $25.  M3 thru to M12.  Looks a bit rough but should be ok for getting you out of trouble.

So.....after all of that, you're not using the Aldi seals? Don't worry, they're fuel proof, I've used them in carbies and they're fine.

I've bought a lot of stuff there over the years, mostly recently some air beds that performed well on our annual camping holiday. I'd bet the o-rings are fine.

Got some good (road) motorbike boots too.

Tools? I've had mixed fortunes on that front. Some drill bits I got were completely unusable, and a set of wood chisels were almost as bad. I did get some scrapers that are really good though.

They do have some handy stuff from time-to-time but ya gotta be quick.....

Hey 66M, I bought 4 kits yesterday from the Sebastopol Aldi store. They had plenty left. Good value for most jobs I reckon.
