Feliz Navidad
« on: December 30, 2010, 12:46:25 pm »
In a typical example of the Spanish trait of being a bit late with most things, I recieved this Christmas greeting email overnight 3 days late. I presume this must be the Spanish team that went to Farleigh Castle.

The Spanish have a certain style when it comes to christmas.

The Spanish version of April fools day falls on the 28th December and a spanish trials website just had half of the trials world wetting itself.

Feliz Navidad
Hello Mark,
This time last year I could relate to these words as I was sailing around Cape Horn and up through Chile and Patagonia for 4 months on a 60 foot yacht.
I hope all is well with the VMX community aspecially the pre 75 boys as I have been keeping in touch with Andrews and Browny!!!!
I was very sorry to hear of Magoos passing as he was one of the good guys and never took things to seriously as it should be...old blokes ...old bikes...a few drinks with your mates and no trophy hunters....that was thirty years ago.
Hope all is well
Regards
Harro

Yes, it is the Spanish team from Farleigh Castle.  They had a ball.  Best set-up in the paddock with own chef and mechanics for each rider. They also showed up in the cider tent late Sunday night (or was that early Monday morning).

They are probably saving their Montesas for the really big events…
