I bought a brand new mower when we bought our first house in 1986, a two stroke Victa, (mower not the house). I still have it and it has never ever failed to start first time as long as you load up the carb with lots of fuel before you give it a heave. The new ones might not be any good now but the old ones were indestructible imo. :)

I brought an old Victa on the way home from the Bendigo swapmeet a few years back, put on new blades & air filter, went great for about a year till the stupid kill switch mechanism attatched to the throttle cable cacked itself, replaced it with a replica yz kill button all sweet now, still starts 2nd pull every time as long as you remember to turn off the gas beetween mowtos as any good vmxer knows! Got a 150cc victa in my Deltek Rockhopper as well,it runs sweet as too :)

I am fixing up a ride on mower at the moment...I'm surprised after all my searching on the web I can't find a cheap online store for parts ??? I'm trying to find an oversize piston for a GV400 honda engine with no luck. They sell so many of the things you would think someone would set up a decent site
Looking fo a TZ750 anyone with any leads please PM

my ancient Greenfield Briggs & Stratton 5.5 has survived more than I could ever have reasonably asked. It isn't a two-stroke,  but it sure is tough.  Still starts instantly too. BUT if it dies before me, of course my next one will be Suzuki powered.
