I hope you Victorians can help me out here. In the early 90s I sold my very trick (for the day) Champion framed XL350 Honda motocrosser to then Melbourne racer Mick Murnane. Mick raced the bike for a couple of years before he sold it to Darren Cheney who decided to give the bike a total revamp including a frame renickel, building a new 490cc engine and a new stronger swingarm. Darren never completed the project and sold it on to (I think)  Rob Urquhart. Rob, or whoever it is that owns it had it for sale at Broadford CD5 on the Saturday but it wasn't there on the Sunday.

A friend of mine would now like to own the bike so if anybody could put me in touch with either Darren Cheney and/or Rob Urquhart I'd be greatly appreciative. I didn't really like riding this bike much but loved looking at it. The guy who now wants it loved riding it but didn't have the readies to buy it at the time. It was a pretty unique piece of kit for the day and it featured Maico forks Yamaha front/Bultaco rear wheels, Works shocks and a full house 350cc XL engine that cost me shitloads to build.

they are Both ex Vic A Grader MXer's from the 80's

Owen Hutchison bought it from Darren probably about 5 years ago, knowing Owen the bike would have passed into somebody elses hands by now, he was never one to hold onto any bike for long periods of time ;D, the good side is that everybody knows that bike is a rare bike so I am sure someone would know who owns it now.

Ah....Owwn Hutchinson it is.....god knows why I thought it was Rob Urquhart. Anyone got any clues to the bikes wherabouts? Or Owens contact details?

Pretty sure the bike is long gone from Owen. It wasn't there last time I was at his place.
