PE400 Ignition Mount

Hi can anyone tell me what is supposed to go through this hole on the CDI ignition mount on a 1980 PE400?

Peter....i cant remember on my 175 back in the 80's but i think the horn was mounted there.
Mine didn't have one when i bought it.
Frosty/leith/luke will know for sure

Its for the horn, and i reckon the bracket is upside down too. Ive usually seen the horn mounted under the CDI.
All '80 onwards models should have had a horn, would not have got ADR approved without. If yours didnt have it from the show room, it would appear that someone forgot to put it on when the following the assembly manual when uncrating the bike....Actually no, just checked the assembly manual and the horn was already fitted to the crated bike back at japan. Some of the 79 models had them too.

Yeah horn and it is upside down if you buy a new 6v horn like such.

you can take it's bracket off and just fit it with some washers and the nut supplied should be a green and orange wire coming from the loom they are for the horn.

Thank you, I will not be installing a horn as the build is dirt only so I will leave the bracket off.
