what pipe is that?
« on: November 08, 2010, 10:38:37 pm »
the learned types over in the Yamaha section have identified the bottom pipe in the pic as an RM125 pipe possibly and N or T? The other pipe has wrecker id on it, so it may or may not be correct. They're very similar but not quite the same. Any ideas? I can't see any spot welds for internal baffles so I don't think it's PE175

Mainline, probably not much help but pics when i did the RM175 project.
Got me thinking now that i may have cut up the RM125T pipe YIKES!!! now that i'll be converting it back to a 125 from the 100.
I hope the pipe (maybe 100X) thats on it still fits. Number check time.

thanks mate, I checked those pics you posted back in your project thread. The pipe you cut up looked the closest, at least the expansion chamber did. The stinger seems to have different bends in it and the header section seems to have a turn at the start on yours and on the pipe I have with rm125n on it?

I'll be pulling the pipe off the RM125T tomorrow and will post a pic up.
I have a feeling that it must be a RM100X pipe that the previous person put on with the 100 top end.

Alpha shows RM100NT 125NT same pipes

Something else too add.
This is the section that was cut off, notice the difference in length of stingers....got me buggered now..lol
Also PE pipes have the bigger spigot diameter at the barrel PE-X onwards for sure I will have to check earlier for size

Thanks for the pics Mario, I might take the PE175x pipe off the bike and compare that?
