Hi,

Tricky question Friday, how can you tell the difference between a 89 yz 250 and a 89 wr 250? ?

Yeah. That one you're looking at is a WR. It'd be terribly slow and you'd hate it. I wouldn't bid if I were you.......

Blue bits instead of red, and the wider ratio gearbox.

99.9% sure that they are the only differences in 1989.

If it's on ebay, I think it's an '90 model YZ.
'89's had silver fork uppers, '90's had red anodized uppers. They also had thinner lower leg protecters and a different slotted front disc.
