81/82/83 430 pipe's

   Hey fella's ,anybody out there in huskyland know if the 81' / 82' 430 pipe will fit a n 83' 430 ,are there any difference's in mounting points/ header etc ?  also are the wr/xc/cr pipes interchangeable ? i know they have different dimensions/characteristics but do they fit? cheers in advance

The 83 frame (first white bike) is different to the earlier models. The mount point to the frame near stinger is different I believe. Mount is vertical instead of horizontal.  Front mount to frame should be the same. Pipes should be interchangeable between all models.

    Thanks for that Pez! i thought that might have been the case with the 81/82 top shock/frame layout, i would  like to eventually get a gmc pipe ,spoke to geoff but he's only done a few 81/82,wasnt sure of 83', it's a long shot but anybody in Vic thinking of getting one done for an 83 430' pm me ,cheers

   Hey crabman, try Geoff Morris  who goes under "GMC" in the forum ,send him a PM, pretty sure he does them for the 500's, i think there a pic of one floating around in here somewhere (very trick bit of kit !),cheers

85 and 86 240 WR,s are very different.

According to my limited husky knowledge....
the 81 & 82 430's are the same fitment
and
the 83 & 84 500's are the same fitment
but I am not sure about 83 430's

   Hey geoff, ive just lined up my (rough)83' 430 pipe and that 81/82' looks identical except both mounts ,mine has the front one on top and rear one horizontal (like the 83' 500) will send a pm cheers
