Powder coating wheel hubs

If I purchase some of this

and get my wheel hubs done I think it will be heat proof enough? Some guys are doing there turbo's with this.

I think its great, they even make a politically correct KAWASAKI GREEN now.

Back to the hubs, all you need is blast, a electrostatic gun, a thermometer, the correct powder and straight into the old "Newworld" kitchen oven on a couple of hooks suspended from the top rack for me.

Remember to remove the Sunday roast first. ;D

Every body has a paint oven, they just vary in size ;D

Powder coating is by design meant to be applied electrostatic ally. When void of any air turbulence pattern flows, it has the ability to distribute the product evenly, thereby giving a "consistent spread of depth" to meet desired application specs.

I have had a powder coat gun for years. Best thing I ever bought. No problems on hubs, the powder cures at 400deg F

Hey Zane,

I just use a regular old St George electric oven. They have a large size interior and you can pick them up just about anywhere for next to nothing. I just modified the racks to allow me to hang parts from them. I plan on building an oven so I can get frames and wheel rims in the future.
