« on: January 04, 2008, 09:35:37 pm »
can anyone point me in the direction to find one of these monsters.Ive tried out evilbay, swap meets, wreckers, lucky dips etc etc and all I find is worn out, bored to the max pieces of crap that I cant get a piston for,,,Or is it easier to find a 125B cylinder/head & change the conrod in my good A spec donk that is minus a cylinder. Any help would be greatly appreciated and will stop me smashing my head against the garage door,,,,,

Yeah,,  tried the re-sleeve gig Paul ,I was quoted $300 plus (gamble with port alignment etc etc) and 2 of the barrels I did find had fatigue fractures and hairline cracks at the base. That ebay thread from cyclegod is from a 75 rm125(which is a piston port job ,the 125a was the reed induction deal)..Thanks fellas

I had the same problem Ghostrider. I ended up putting it in the 2 hard basket and Dodgee now has the problem (soon as he's ready) ;D easy fixed! I'd be going the rod and B/C top end swap..makes a whole lot of sense. My A chassis nows runs a complete B motor and suspension..probably the hardest of all the TM/RM125's to get parts for is the 125A and they never went that good anyway.. :-\ just scord a NOS 125M barrel for about $100 delivered but I can't say I've ever seen a NOS A cylinder on ebay..ever  ???
