tank liner

Anyone got a recommended product for lining glass fibre tank. Or should i just not bother.

I used Por 15, worked a treat.  Once the Fiber glass has laminated i was told its too hard to try and fill the cracks with resin again.  The porkit was a peice of Piss and it ended up the small tin did 3 of my fiber glass tanks, its not thick and shittly like the other kits, it drys grey and looks just like steel.

I have also used methonal in it so it seems to stand up to anything.  this shit is idiot proof.

Have used Aircraft tank sealer in a KTM plastic tank.
Worked well. Supposed to seal after a bullet has gorn through.
Cost a bit more than the motorcycle sealer kit though.

YEp you dotn want to use them 2 part ones or the rubber looking ones they just go all rubbery and shit and youll never get em back out.

Also i dont think you can get Ex usa cause its a chemical ? any how available here in sydney anyway

This is the stuff you want. Wonderful stuff, works great and is user friendly. Did some work today preparing for new paint job) on a fibreglass tank that i put this liner in a few years ago and its still good as gold. By the way 2 part is what you want, because the stuff actually hardens all the way through, unlike some other air dry brands that if not installed correctly and left to pool too much in one area, they never fully dry and then you get problems.

Ive never used it but Its an epoxy type so should be pretty good.

I've used brushing grade epoxy resin on the inside of four of my spanish motorbike fibreglass fuel tanks so far and it was pretty easy to use. I bought it from a ships chandlery. It is epoxy resin with a low viscosity. The first one I did was about 5 years ago and it is still going great.
I would not recommend using it inside a steel tank because it would probably crack if the tank got dented.
I can go and find the brand if anyone wants.
