freaky you know how to bring back time.
every monday while the speedway was at the showground i would be forced into child labour(school kid) rebuilding vincent speedway rear wheels.i had to make all the spokes for 3 outfit wheels.mind you i would miss the bus every monday and if i walked by the shopping centre len would grab me and put me to work.so i had a full time sat shift and 2 hour monday shift.i also got a lift home len lived down the street.

I can still hear the sound of a field full of Vincent outfits barreling into turn one at the Sydney Showground. It was electrifying. 8)

And remember how distinctive the Suzuki water bottles were in a field of Vincents.
Great days.

Rode in the 1972 Aussie sidecar title at the Showground as a Passenger on the twin motor Eso the 1st and only twostroke out there was Geoff Grocott on the Mack 4 unbeatable on the night and had won 24 races straight that year

The Vincent died that night never to return to power in the sidecar World
The TWOSTROKE had arrived
