Hagon Front Hub
« on: July 25, 2010, 08:16:55 am »
Restoring a hagon at the moment, it came with a speedway front wheel, looking for a front hub or complete wheel. The backing plate has two lugs which locate either side of the fork tube. Any suggestions? Will also need a rear hub, but an probably make an mx hub fit, although the sprocket alignment is always interesting.

Ross, I'm  intending to use a 23" Honda XL250 S wheel on my Antig Maico resto...you can get 'em pretty easily but I'm assuming you want the pukka real thing. I'm going to use my Antig hubs on a pre 65 project myself but you might get lucky giving Jonesy a call. He's got more than a few Hagons. Failing all of the above, REH and Rickman hubs are as close as buggery to the Hagon original to fool the white overall anals. Same for the rears.

Rosco, I think Suzuki A100 hubs will lace straight into the standard rim?

Thanks Firko and Curly. You know me too well Mark, I  try to get as close as possible to original but with a little extra bling. Will give Alan a try. Failing that I will try Antig in the UK to see what they might have and then go to the REHs. Who would you recommend as a supplier?

Ebay is your best bet for Rickman and REH hubs Ross. Factor in around $50-$70 each. The were once cheaper but the Pom pre 65 crowd got onto them, raising the prices.
