Un-Identified bike? trash or treasure?
« on: June 26, 2010, 07:44:19 pm »
Hi everyone.. I recently aquired this strange little bike, Not sure what it is.. I have already searched high and low, but haven't made a match. a few have said it looks like a bitser, but by my untrained eye, it all seems to fit together fairly well. maybe mexican, or american? chinese? Indicator lights are Stanley brand, Mikuni carb. fuel cap and speedo, seem the same as chaparral and Gemini (I think) It looks like some sort of kawasaki rip off, like g4tr. I hope someone can tell me if it's trash or just rare, cos it's doing my head in now!
thanks for looking!

With a name like 'Tatung' on the speedo, I wonder if it's some Chinese or Taiwanese made jigger??

Johnny O - Tahition_Red factory rider.

I had another look at bridgestone, some strong resemblance in the 100 tmx, but still not right, the frame differs, amongst other things. It might just make a good paddock machine..

hmm.. heaps to look through.. the daytona thing is interesting, the engine is spot on, but a pressed steel frame. the roadrunner looks close, but slightly different around carburettor side cover. i think i'm going crosseyed.. might give it a rest!

Read what David has said!!! It is what remains of a  larger type Taiwanese Gemini SST from the early to mid 70s . Cheers
