Gday all,
I have owned a vintage for many years but only now found this web site.
I look forward to chatting to you guys and finding out some great info about vintage bikes.
My Suzuki RM400 story is added to my page with pic's.
Saturday was first trip out for the RM at CD7...wow...what a great day, all those cool bikes to see and hear.
A few things i realised about owning a vintage bike after saturday....
1) tiny tiny footpegs..it took me 2 laps to try and find the pegs after cornering
2) the suspension aint nothin like a modern bike, found this out after launching over the big jump and hard breaking in bumps
3) Vintage bikes need lots of lovin,,,my day ground to halt after the 2 stator bolts fell out causing me to think i had nipped up the piston
I am hooked on VMX and will return for Conondale classic
PS...looking for pic's of myself at CD7 if anyone has???....i found 1 from Slawesy...cheers
