« on: June 01, 2010, 02:33:21 pm »
I'm building  bitsa 77 model KTM 250 as this will be just an race bike as such the wheels don't have to match. Good price payed also consider hub or damaged wheel as long hub is good order.
Current bikes. KTM MC 250 77 Husky CR 360 77, Husky 82 420 Auto Bitsa XR 200 project. Dont need a pickle just need to ride my motorcickle

The YZ A model had a 90 degree backing plate the rest thou to twin leading shoe were about 45 drgrees I think so any model with a single cam will suit pre 77 class I believe?
Are you going to CD7?

You want the 1K7 hub then: Pre-78 legal, common as mud, light, strong and with a good brake.
You're basically spot on with the brake side of things too - although a train-spotter could point out the different SLS, angled lug brakes from stuff like monoshock DT175s and early XT250s.

I've got heaps of hubs, but no wheels that are worth using. If you're happy with just a hub, then make me an offer - cheaper by the dozen! (I exaggerate, but you get the point - cheap!).
The good thing about telling the truth is that you don't have to remember what you said.

yes,
or you can machine about 10mm off the brake plate {from the axle spigot} of a leading axle type and it'll work too.
it just leaves the brake arm at a different angle.
