Hi,
I don't know much about those BSA B50MX's, can an Expert explain what makes this a "Works" , "Factory" bike , It just looks like a B50 mx with a nickel plated frame ,with barrel/fin damage.
cheers

A lot of people seem to band the words "works", "factory" and "replica" around a little too freely I think...... ::)

The forks appear to be stockers, as does the rest of the bike except for the nickel plated frame. I'd want some documented history with the bike before throwing nearly 10k at it. If it is indeed a works bike 10k is the right money for a minor uncompetitive works bike ridden by a mid range works rider for a factory that by 1971 had lost its way and was soon belly up.
I'd love it.

looks awful std to me,might have been a spare practice bike  ;),there's nothing on it to suggest anything remotely "works",even rare 1gal trials B50T tank!!,pffff, :P
work, the curse of the racing class!!
if a hammer dosn't fix it,you have a electrical problem!!

At wanganui meet Jeff Smith loked at a 250 and said it was factory and why-compared to that bike the b50 looks pretty ordinary

There is another b50 on ebay .com 2500 USD, no bids.  I don`t think Vic Allen rode B50 when he was out  here in the 70`s, he was brought out here by Bert Flood to ride bultaco.
