I'm sure if you drive to the venue quick enough somebody will turn up with one, mind you he may bring a few of his anti-social mates with him  ;)

Refer to fastest dirt bike thread.
If we put bikes side by side and go for it , this maybe called racing , If one bike at a time goes full stick and you use a radar gun then it cant be racing.

So are they going to have only one bike on the track at a time for a novilty?
Where will they find the time last year there was 80 bikes on the track at one time just about all day long.

Not 100% sure that the promoters will agree with you?

Hay Slakewell when you get to Conondale find Bill Nolan and ask him about how fast the Great White goes.
Bill will tell you all about them.

You don't need a speed gun to clock a bike.
Mark out a set distance on the track and stop watch the bike over the marks.
The calcs are pretty simple after that.

I raced at Conondale about 4 weeks ago and there really is not a long enough straight for a 500cc 2 stroke to wind out in top gear.
Comparisons are hard to figure as each rider/ bike comes out of the last corner before a straight at different speeds and gears.

Mick....I know what you're on about but I somehow doubt there'll be any time for stuff like that at CD7. With hundreds of punters wanting track time, a speed test/drag race, call ir what you like won't be an option.

Conondale is a big place I wouldn't want to waste a moment of real track time just to play who has the biggest dick. I'm sure with a little effort a spot long enough could be found near the track that could be bunted off and maybe held just before dark so those who wanted to can do a few runs before beers.
