it is just paint if the gear shaft was welded on thats another story.

Frosty at least the gear shift welding would just take a simple grind and replace to fix, the paint on the otherhand would take ages to remove One does whatever they have to to keep the wheels turning but painting the kdx blue when it's not going to be ridden is weird

Yes that would work, that would be sure to stop all that plastic and aluminium from rusting.

I think though that you may need to find something that would stop incredibly bad taste,
and find something else that would stop making poor excuses for bad taste.
