thats not 100% correct.
VMXWA were non negociable on the event and withdrew. There was however a considerable effort made by the club (and others, myself included) to run that event in WA within a frame work that would have suited everyone.
Its understood (and respected) that VMXWA's constitution will only allow it to run pre 75 and thats 100% OK but when a club wants to run all of the meeting (as the Preston club) and there is an absence of someone else prepared to run the latter model stuff WA didnt want to run which way do you think the decision will go? WA was not the only applicant.
VMXWA should be encouraged to apply as should the proposals I am seeing from SA and QLD.
If you think about it - and the supersenior50 proposal and the others along similar lines are potentially what will happen in 2011 then whats stopping the WA club doing it again or a Viper type club running the later classes.
The only limmiting factor on it all is someone actually puting up a proposal to do some thing.
