Are there any formulas for setting up a sidecar?
eg, width compared to wheelbase of bike and how far ahead of the rear wheel should the side wheel be.
Cheers gents.

Nothing startling, I want to fit a chair to a 79 XR80 just for a bit of fun and would like to know the basic set up. If I'm going to do it I'd prefer to make it to scale.
Thanks Walter.

Cheers and yes you will have fun building that little outfit. Walter will supply good info , I have found the engine cradle/sidecar frame geometry is pretty easy to follow and construct. The building of a nicely functioning leading link front end set up is a..tad...more involved. Oh be sure to fit a lanyard type kill switch and of course left hand side fit up please

I may not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it.
