South Coast Cup 2010 at Bega
« on: September 22, 2010, 10:05:45 AM »
The Far South Coast Club will be conducting the South Coast Cup at Sapphire Speedway , near Bega , on the weekend of the 9th and 10th october.
There will be a couple of Classic classes, MX and Slider, so if ya want to have a skid around the best 540 metre oval in the state, on ya modern or Classic , check out  the club's website www.fscmcc.com.au under the special events tag ,for info.

There is an event for TT and XT 500 Yamahas only , the Glenn Gall Memorial Race, Glen was an old mate of mine who passed away and I keep his bike going for young fellas to ride, it was at Griffith, # 59.

Camping at the track is encouraged , with plenty of firewood and in my opinion is one of the best oval track venues in the State.
For any info , ring Club Sec., Annette, on 0409 224 052

All ya gotta remember is , Go fast, turn left, repeat !!

Are we going down Jim?
You could ride your TT again and I'll enter in the EVO.

Sliders this time on Turn 3 at Sapphire Speedway a few years ago

Loyd Richards, Cliffy Patton , Mark Herfoss, Paul Parlett, Bob Sunderland.

Will talk to the Club Sec tonight re maybe a couple more Classic classes,
Interclub meeting , Day licence OK, Temporary membership of Club available.

Grassed pit area, downhill to dummy grid so good for sliders, speedway tapes, start chute on start of front straight so riders get themselves sorted out before Turn 1.

OK

Just spoke to the Far South Coast Club Sec and the Steward for the day, Steve Stuart and if there are enough Classic entries there will be an up to 250cc Evo Classic class and an Allpowers Evo Classic class and , depending on entries , a 125cc Evo class either concurrent with the 250s, scored separately, or on its own, the meeting will be a two day affair with sign-on kicking of about midday practice and two rounds of racing on Saturday then 3 rounds on Sunday so the meeting finishes at a reasonable hour enabling people to travel home.

For anymore info www.fscmcc.com.au click on special events tag for Info sheet, Senior entry form and Junior entry form .

Maybe I'll See Ya at the Sapphire Skids

I know it's not VDT , however this is a shot of current Speedway GP contender, Chris Holder leading the mob on turn one at Sapphire Speedway in 2005.

Chris leading , brother James in second , Tim Heffernan, Matt Saggus, Lee White , local Roland Collins out wide.

The track at Sapphire is almost but not quite a Longtrack , 540 metres pole line, and is licenced for six Speedway Solos .
