I know the replica bike  :) i think thats hidded in a box in Newcastle these days  ::) but i wouldn't think Gastons bike would have had blue rims  ???
Happy to be proved wrong though  ;)

Hey Bill will have to have another look in the archives. Hasn't your 125B got blue rims??

One of them has  :o but thats Bills bike not Gastons  ;D Actually its Jocelyn my eldest daughters VMX bike when she in NZ  :) she likes the blue rims  ;D

It was built by a mate of mine as a replica of the one in VMX (obviously mine doesn't have the RA swinging arm ) as does the one in VMX  :)

Makes me a sad Bastard dont it  ;D i bought a replica of a replica  ::)

Maybe, but I've often wanted to build a replica of that one myself. It was a very nice bike. Never got to see it in the flesh, sad if it's gone into 'hiding'...

Actually Doc I am heading in that direction, I was going to HPC it gold, but even my own bling tolerance and good taste may be stretched.  ;D

...........................Back in '77/'78 Lucas Reynolds ran all white RM's (Peter Stevens era) and for mine, even back then they looked great simply because they were something different 8)

yeah i liked that look too Doc, so much so i painted my RM80B white to give it the "Lucas" look.

then some scumqueen swiped it and it came back sanded back to yellow again. that was a tough break at 14.

Thats the problem isn't it Frosty :-\ iv'e been very tempted to buy this http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=269799934

But you have to ask yourself why  ??? Unless you got somwhere nice to display it (I dont) then what do you do with it . After a couple of typical wet & shitty NZ meetings its just another MX 250B  :-\

Exactly I have decided that two bikes in my shed are going to live inside and down up like new for display purposes but won't be a drama becuase I have others the same to be ridden.

Would be a shame to ride something once it is that good it would degrade very quickly as you say.

Yeah you tend to end up with minters and riders, I am reluctant to get a couple of mine dirty.
