Stan
Not the best move trying to make a mx track out the back of Granite Park. Had probably the best (only?) short circuit track, but that MX track was either hard as "Granite" or turned to that lovely clay that encapsulated the old akront rims.  Not much shade out the back either, but I suppose any track was a good track nowadays considering the lesser amount around. Shouldn't winge I practised at the old Coldstream tip in amongst all sorts of debris. Great range of bikes. I can,t beleive we did the forty minutes plus 2 laps back then, i find it tough driving the car for forty minutes nowadays!

Don't reckon much has really changed in 35yrs, the same faces back then did all the organising eg the Petries, Wes Brown etc and its still left to the few nowadays.

Hi Rosco, yes I must admit i was very dissapointed when I first rode at Seymour after the beautiful Christmas Hills circuit but I guess there was no alternative at the time. I remember when the GN was one leg it was over 50 minutes long. That was a very long motocross race. The same thing happens in every club I think, the more you do the more you get to do. But those guys did do an exceptional job back then.

Stan.
