Bike Week at Easter - QLD - Bikes wanted, free entry.
« on: February 03, 2010, 09:23:18 am »
Hi - Shannons (Insurance) are looking for about ten vmx bikes to use on their display at Bike Week, over Easter, at Ipswich.  The bikes will be under cover in a Marquee and at night they can lock them up in a garage at Qld raceway if the owners wish.  There will also be security there and Shannons Staff during the day. Anyone willing to loan a bike for the stand will receive free double passes to Bike Week.  The bikes would need to be there, preferably, from early Friday to the close on Sunday (or early Monday).

Shannons will also have a stand at CD7 so they are supporting, and will from now on become heavily involved in, the vintage scene, so I hope there's a few people out there who can assist.  Just email me [email protected] and I'll put you in touch with the guy from Shannons.

Thanks

Ken

I can't help with this one, but just wanted to say well done in getting a company such as Shannons involved with VMX.
It can only be good for all concerned.  :)
FWIW I've got all my cars and bikes insured with them and although I've never made a claim, they are always great to deal with and the price I'm getting is extremely good too.

I will put the feelers out.
Ain't it the way-booked to go to Broadford then the locals put on a show 10mins from home.
Any room for a sidecar??

Thanks EML.  I'm sure they'd love to have a sidecar on display!

I have spoken to Troy Chadwick who now owns a very tidy Wasp Yamaha 650 in pre75 guise and he has agreed to show that.
Can you send on some details please.
