I've been trying to get some sort of update for a while, too.
I think quite a lot of us sent money his way to help out and I was hoping we could find out firstly if he got it, and if there was any hope of him starting production again.

In the last few issues of VMX there has been a rubber place advertising in there. I dont know who or where they are or what the quality is like, but it just caught my eye and could be an option if you cant wait for 4 Robs to open agian if he does.

Yeah, I'd just love to hear how he and just as importantly, his family, are doing now.
I kinda feel like we helped out a member of the VMX family and I just want to hear that it did actually make a difference and that they're doing ok.  :)

Well,
thank you for all news about Rob.
Here, in Italy and in Europe, I found time ago a lot of vintage bike shops whose want to buy Rob's uretane parts.
I wrote Rob to organize an order for a stock of his products to help him to rebuilt factory.
He wrote me that he was intrested to restart production.
I wish he's organizing something.
Ciao,
Mariano

I spoke to Rob at CD6 and he seemed in good spirits considering the trauma he and his family had been through. He had received the donated money and indicated to me that he and his family were very appreciative of the donations. He still hadn't decided on whether he'd be setting up in business again. His big problem had been that the moulds had all been destroyed in the fire and it had taken him years to accumulate them. He said that it would be too big a job to start from scratch again.
