Coffs Harbour Dirt Track
« on: January 16, 2010, 08:55:48 am »
Wow I havnt done this in a long time,Donny here with an update we are still running the Clubs first dirt track on the 6th-7th of March as we always do !!! It is a combined meeting and is the first round of our clubs championships but it is basically set up for a vintage weekend.Donna and the crew of amazing helpers have been busy organising Coffs return to Stadium Cross after about 15 years so after the 23rd it will be full steam ahead for our meeting. If you have been before you should get a mailout or drop me a line on 0266544252 for more help if you need it.And before anyone says anything about a date clash remember we moved our date years ago to get away from The Jack Hog so I really cant help their circumstances but can only wish them all the best.TWO PREMIER EVENTS TO START THE YEAR ......BRING IT ON

Hi Donny,

Sounds good that the Coffs event is back on and it's two weeks before the Jack Hogg so shouldn't be too much of a worry. Is this a two day meeting? Do you have any news on the format over the two days if it is a two-dayer?

I've entered the Can Am and KX500. Unfortunatey I had to take the KX off methanol after stretching my arms at the Nationals, not really needed at Coffs anyway as there is no big straights. I have entered in the over 35s class also to show the moderns you don't need to spend 14k to be competitive.
It would be good to see Glen Evans on the quick old Machless in the over 35s if he is coming this year.
83 KX500, 83 RM250D, Can Am MX2.

done & dusted!,(well yesterday was  dusty ::)),today was altogether different,it rained on & off (no surprise),top weekend Coffs club, pulled off another goodie, concidering it was  pissin down most of the way up,& there friday nite ,they actually had to water the track most of saturdays racing to keep the dust down,go figure!,handfull of the usual classic tradgics made the trip down from brizzy, and from thurther north qld, grandmaster Pengilly & a few of the penrith boys from down south!,pretty good turnout despite the chancy weather patterns,(which mean diddly squat up  there apparently),again big thanks to Coffs, nice one  folks, cheers :P
