DR250 bits and complete GT80.
« on: January 21, 2010, 09:57:59 pm »
NOT MINE, but I was offered this today.
If anyone is interested, then I'll pass on his contact details.

1. GT or DT80, complete paddock bike spec. YZ60 front guard, tank from a TS185ER or similar, all road gear missing, but otherwise seemed pretty unmolested. Good rear tyre, supposedly runs. ~80% complete spare bike.

2. Left-overs from an early Floater rear DR250S:
The motor was apparently a runner when removed from the bike, but has been sitting around long enough for the kick-start lever to jam in the open position. No carb.
Both side covers (yellow).
A couple of ye olde style guards.
Both wheels with brakes (front has an OK knobby tyre, both have rusty spokes).
Seat (needs cover, seemed OK otherwise).

3. Steel Suzuki tank. He reckoned it was from a DR250, but it looked more like a SP370 or TS250 something. Chrome cap, and a visible seam down the top, if that helps to identify it.

He wants $200 for the whole lot, and I didn't ask about seperating it.
Its all in Bowning, just near Yass in southern NSW.
The good thing about telling the truth is that you don't have to remember what you said.

Nathan/Jim, the tank with the seam down the middle, if the chrome cap is vented it's more than likely '71-'72 TM250 or 400.

If unvented it could be from any capacity TS as all the TS/TM models of '71-'72 had the seam down the middle ;)
