I buy and sell directly on ebay UK with my normal australian account. you dont need to have a separate UK account to buy things from UK ebay or list things on UK ebay.

2 options. Ask the seller to unblock you so you can buy it but then get them to ship to a friends address in UK or get a friend in UK to buy it for you.

You can start an ebay account in the UK. You will have to have a different name. The problem is he doesn't want to fill in the extra bit of paper to send it to Oz. So even if you win he won't want to send it to you. You can pay with your existing paypal account. When its time to pay you go through checkout and sign into your existing. If you know someone in the UK that can send it on then you are good to go.

i have got stuff sent via a person on ebay. they haven't got any current listings for forward shipping but if you message

this seller http://myworld.ebay.com.au/mar.e.sol/  she will forward any packages for a fee of about 10 - 40 AUD,+ actual postage it cost.

the reason i used them is because there was an Australian banknote worth around $300 on ebay.uk and the seller said it was against the

law to send cash in the post to Australia. so after telling the seller my intentions i got the bidding block removed and got it forward shipped.

hope thats of some help. cheers, Metalskin.

You get a lot of this attitude Alison, especially from the UK. I recently wanted to buy a set of flat track wheels on US eBay with "Buy it Now"but it was blocked to overseas bidders. I emailed the bloke to ask if he'd be willing to remove the block but he refused. I replied that even though I'm in Australia he only had to ship them to my shipper in Long Beach, California so could I pay for them from here using my PayPal? Still no, he told me he'd only deal with American buyers, " definitely no foriegners". In the end I was forced to ask an American mate to buy them for me. It was all so silly and even though I indicated that I had 100% feedback and over 800 transactions and that shipping to Australia wasn't needed, he went into a "don't understand overseas stuff" wobbly.
As I said, the Poms are the worst but every now and again you'll find a Yank with the same attitude. It pays to nurture friends in the UK and USA. We've built a network of friends in the USA and one in the UK who come in very handy when these situations arise. Perhaps one of the UK members of this forum can help you out.

Secrets?? About what?
It's no big deal seeing that I've been on eBay since 2000. I do do a lot of my general shopping on eBay, for instance, I've done 99% of my Christmas shopping for the last three years, buy most of my clothes and shoes and nearly all of my bike and car stuff, usually from USA eBay. I also sell a bit of stuff, for instance last year I made a quick 5k selling superflous stuff  like old fatboy clothes that no longer fit me, houshold appliances like my old TV and vacuum cleaner, a shitload of cookbooks and the like, and all sorts of dust catchers that we all have laying around doing nothing. You'd be shocked what people will bid on and what they'll pay for stuff you aren't using. Right now I'm in the middle of a major shed revamp and by the end of it I'll have a pile of junk (and good stuff) ready to sell off to the punters......No secret.

Well it looks like the freight may cost more than the item   :(
90 English pounds, as its now measured by the square box size  :'( :'(

AHHHH the British should of settled this country with more bikes in their hulls. ;D   ;)
