RM370A/B RM250A/B rear wheel
« on: November 14, 2007, 07:46:55 pm »
Hello, just putting out the feelers locally for a friend who's chasing a rear wheel for an RM370 A/B or a 250A/B. Axle and adjusters would be nice also but anything would be better than nothing. Thanks Doc

Here ya go Doc. Two very clean RM250 rears, have backing plates too. Spokes very nice ( I dont keep rusty shit ) Rims good, even sprockets are in very good condition. Im not 100% sure what model their from but I did get these with other early RM gear including a 370 head. Im assuming these are around same years.

Quicky, I don't have any indepth details sorry only to say I believe the axle is 15mm. You can check the schematic at http://alpha-sports.com/suzuki_parts.htm I'd post a pic but my computer is having a bit of a spaz and won't let me save pictures, I don't like linking directly to Alphasports as they don't like it so the link is the best I can do. Those wheels you have the pics of appear to have straight pull spokes which would make them 81 onwards..thanks for looking though  ;)

I really dont know what model these are off. I picked them up with early RM parts some months ago. Judging by year model of the other items I assumed these must of been from around same period. If you need more detailed pictures I can do that today, otherwise maybe late next week I could get it done. I dont have anything at home to measure the axle hole today but I could arrange that for later next week also.

spot on! can ya hold 'all' that stuff for me yzinger? I'll be seeing the guy tonight thats getting the 370 and I am pretty sure he'll be interested. We've yet to lay eyes on the bike (arrives here on the 19th) but I know it definately needs a rear wheel. I'll get back to you pronto! cheers doc

late edit..just noticed the front wheel is probably 76 TS (21 inch lipped alloy rim silver hub) Definately interested in the back wheel though if it's the rm job  ;)

just be careful - the "A" rear hub is a different p/n to the B.
B rear hub was shared by the 250b/c, 370b, 400c

G'day Luke, don't quote this as gospel but when I check the numbers the RM370 part number is infact the part number for the factory 'RN'370 rear hub. The brake backing plate is the thing to watch..it definately changes with the later models but I believe the hubs to be the same only cast from plain alloy and not trick sandcast magnesium like the RN.

if we can ever confirm, that'd be way cool to know!
I had a B rear wheel in the shed, but I gave it to a guy in Melbourne a while ago..

i think its for 76 RM 250/370 there is about 5 different hubs listed for that yr. so they had a lot of upgraded improved parts. also i believe there were optional magnesium hubs. i seen that in a suzy accessories sales bochure. i think there was optional magnesium brake plates too. i think that expalins whay they had so many rear hubs that yr.
