plastic blasting
« on: February 14, 2010, 04:27:40 am »
I have a couple of Maicoengines/lower forklegs I want to look better. They are ok looking, but need to be freshend up, I don't think I want the kind of coarse finish glassblasting gives.... I know someone who can blast them with plastic particles. I know vaporblasting is the hot deal these days, but I can't find someone i Norway doing it.. Would the plastic thing be any use at all???
Thanks

Normally you can hit them in a couple of stages, blast the big imperfections and heavy corrosion off with sand then polish them with plastic, aqua or other media. Plastic beads will work fine.
