Count me in for a copy! I've actually seen Sidewinder 1 a couple of times and it's so bad it's great. The story is one of a bloke who develops a trick new MX bike but has to fight off the bad guys who don't want him or the bike to succeed.
Besides the acting tour'd'force by screen legend Marjoe Gortner in the lead role and a soundtrack by rock god, the late Eddie Rabbit, the real star of the movie is the blue Maico playing 'Sidewinder'. The 75 Maico is a pretty trick unit for its day, fitted with Morris Mag wheels, disc brakes and the whole Wheelsmith catalogue. Apparently they made about 6 or 7 bikes for the movie and in about 1978 I was competing in a desert event on the Husky auto when I was passed by a blue Maico with mag wheels which must have been one of the movie bikes. I remember one claiming to be the movie bike coming up on the Swapmeet site back when Jeff ran it, off memory it was pretty rooted but looked all there.
