gday i heard theres a mob in vic that can match the earily 80s honda red in powder coat does anyone have a contact

Sounds like BS to me. Signal red is close but not quite right. I am yet to find an exact match from any of the powder coaters I've tried. You can get it made if you want to buy 20 tonnes of it!

From my understanding there is only two red colours in the powder coat range
Signal and
Flame.
Signal is the most common used on Maico's Honda's and so on
Flame is more orange.
The colour chart is available on the web.

The flame red is as close as you will get to the red used on later model Montesa frames etc. Not that it helps on this topic
I beleive you can get any colour you like mixed in the US and UK but that also does not help
I'll just stop typing now
