I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF THIS BIKE WAS IMPORTED TO Australia for someone to race out here, was their any experts racing these bikes in the 80`s.

 Run a Muck, you don`t need to smart, lots of poeple relist their bikes, because some bidders bid on bikes or parts and don`t have any inkling of buying it or their partners has said no, and you have false bidders too, l was selling a mini bike 3 weeks ago and 3 bidders, all three won the bike after l relisted 3 times, l bidder from nsw, the other two from USA, and did they pay for the bike, no. SO THIS IS A WAY OF LIFE we put up with and we LIVE WITH IT, AND WE MOVE ON. TO ANSWER QUESTION I HAVE ONE CAGIVA DO YOU WANT TO BUY IT, NO, I THOUGHT SO. MOVE ON.

It is a nice bike I have never had much luck buying bikes off ebay and I am prepared to pay if I bid I have had to relist aswell if you want something bid and pay and you will get it don't waste peoples time and relisting fee etc etc if you aren't genuine thanks Michael.

I seem to recall a grey ghost selling a couple of months ago, but then was relisted, obviously the sale didn't proceed. I don't think it's a way of life, just a pain in the bum for all genuine bidders.

that montesa you are talking about was sold, to nice fellow from victoria, yes it can be a pain in the bum, but some genuine bidders don`t bid, trying to buy it cheap, so that is life, win or loose.

Hi Wolverine, My uncle and nephew both had one of these each at the time from Frasers Newcastle. I recall being pleasently surprised at the time, and it's not just because I was between decent bikes. I think they cotinually had a spares availability issue, but. Frasers in the end had a big discount sale and removed them from stock lines, becoming even more dissintrested in back up parts supply. I recall my uncle saying that a number of Yamaha parts seamed to fit don't ask me which ones
It has always made me wonder if possible accoiations in the past existed between Cagiva and Yamaha? Does any one know?

Some modern day Cagiva thumpers used the successful Yamaha 600 and 660 single four stroke engines?
Anyhow just thoughts, I thought they were an underated machine and was hoping at the time they would have taken a bigger share of the developing Nippon market dominance. But good to see that KTM survived and acheived just that.

Hi Mick you may be right, or even Honda., Not sure, The fellow who bought is happy with it, he plans to race it, he comes from Gippsland, I thought my son at the time was keen but he went sour on it, anyway move it on and make room for what ever comes along.
