Electrex World stator kits
« on: November 24, 2009, 11:12:47 pm »
I'm wondering if anyone has used an Electrex World stator kit (UK) in their bike and can tell me what they thought of it.
They seem to have plenty of VMX bikes covered in their range, and with the exchange rate better the prices arent too bad.

I have two both on bsa's ran one on a b50 it worked well bike started much better than the total loss system I used before.Had to make up new spacers so the stator plate would sit square, the thing I don't like is that there is no keyway in the rotor just held in place by the nut. Have not used the other yet as motivation to finish the b44 is lacking.

Keyways are just for production line workers to bang it together in a hurry, the taper holds the flywheel in place not the key.

Bsa's don't have a taper, just a plane shaft.
